Executive Summary Lands the Client

A government relations professional found on a Friday that they were going to be meeting with a client the following week who was interested in the development of ‘green’ certification standards for laundromats. They needed to find out which organizations were active in this area, what standards/certifications had been developed to date and what experts were working in this area that could be consulted.


In three days, Green Heron developed a three page overview which identified five existing or proposed green certifications and standards that had been developed by three different organizations, and located three experts who were working in this area. Links to the proposed certifications and standards, contact information for the organizations and links to the expert’s relevant published works and contact information were included in the overview.

The government relations professional used the overview to get up to speed on green certification standards for laundromats and had a very successful meeting landing a contract with the client.
